Snow Leopard Vodka Double Donation
Snow Leopard Trust donations doubled during the month of January
We’re starting off our year right – not only did Snow Leopard Vodka renew our commitment to snow leopard conservation through our partnership with Snow Leopard Trust, we increased our donation efforts by twice the amount in January. We doubled our philanthropic contributions to The Snow Leopard Trust from 15% to 30% of all USA profits. It’s our own step forward to save this vital, critically endangered species from extinction.
In addition to supporting the cause by purchasing Snow Leopard Vodka or featured Snow Leopard Vodka cocktails, anyone interested in making a contribution had the opportunity to donate directly through the Snow Leopard Trust Double Donation Fundraising Page on Facebook.
To celebrate, Snow Leopard Vodka enlisted the support of notable cocktail and luxury spirit influencers to share unique Snow Leopard Vodka cocktail creations, highlighting the limitless ways in which the spirit can be blended and mixed to create delicious cocktails that support a great cause. All cocktails are snow leopard-themed and can be found on Snow Leopard Vodka’s Instagram page.
As the month-long initiative reached its end, a total of $12,000 will be donated to the Snow Leopard Trust with $4,417 of donations raised through Facebook being matched by Edrington Americas. Snow Leopard Vodka has raised $315,000 to-date for The Snow Leopard Trust in the fight to preserve this beautiful animal.
The Double Donation campaign deepens our brand’s founding commitment to raise awareness and funds for this rare, endangered cat. With fewer than 7,000 snow leopards estimated to be remaining in the wild, protecting them is more important than ever, as their abundant existence is a barometer for the health of the global ecosystem. Preserving their presence in the wild, as well as the conditions of their natural habitat, has a direct effect on much of the planet’s water source. And time is running out.
The Snow Leopard Trust, the top snow leopard conservation charity in the world, is committed to protecting life in the Himalayan region where the snow leopard dwells by collecting valuable data about the animal, creating wildlife sanctuaries, protecting local herders’ livestock, increasing the income of local communities and partnering with governments and international organizations who have similar goals and missions. Proceeds from Snow Leopard Vodka sales go towards research and local conservation projects in five central Asian countries throughout the Himalayan region.
